The outfit
Built for real desert miles
NegevTrail is a tourism-focused hiking guide service. We lead day routes and multi-day trails across the central Negev — not wellness retreats, not medical tourism.
Base camp
Midreshet Ben-Gurion & Sde Boker
Our visitor desk sits in the Sde Boker region — close to Ein Avdat, the Zin Valley approaches, and the road corridor toward Mitzpe Ramon and Makhtesh Ramon.
That location matters: early trailheads, reliable water resupply planning, and short logistics for guests staying in desert guesthouses or Midreshet Ben-Gurion lodging.
Principles
How we run the trail
SAFE
Heat & navigation first
We set turnaround times, carry communication plans, and adjust for khamsin wind or extreme heat. Difficulty chips on our site match what you will feel on the ground.
SMALL
Groups of eight or fewer
Smaller groups move cleaner on narrow canyon paths and keep interpretive stops useful — geology, Nabataean trade echoes, and desert ecology without a megaphone.
LIGHT
Leave the desert as found
We practice leave-no-trace camping on multi-day routes, pack out waste, and stay on established lines wherever the terrain allows.
Terrain we love
Crater rims, canyons, highland nights
Signature landscapes include Makhtesh Ramon, Ein Avdat’s spring canyon, Zin Valley approaches, and highland camps where the Milky Way still dominates the sky.
Whether you want a single sharp day on the Ramon rim or a three-day Negev Traverse, we design pacing around season, fitness, and honest elevation gain.
